Red Rhône Blend, Devois de Perret
Devois de Perret is made by a group of farmers and winemakers, the Vignerons du Pic, a cooperative north of Montpellier, whose members grow grapes around the appellation of Pic Saint Loup. Each winemaker bottles wine under his own label using a shared crush facility and winery, under the guidance of oenologist Bruno Daneluzzi. However, a portion of the grapes are used to make absurdly delicious and affordable wines, such as the wines of Devois de Perret.
The Devois de Perret Rouge is a blend of 60% Syrah, 20% Grenache, and 20% Mourvèdre. The wine pours a brilliant dark ruby with aromas of red berry fruits and spice. On the palate, the wine is focused, fresh and juicy with enough weight and body to remind you that you're in the Languedoc.
