Sourced from the Sojourner Vineyard, this Pommard Clone saw a higher percentage of new French oak (35%, aged for 10 months), than most of the Owen Roe Pinot Noir wines. There are pretty aromatics of cinnamon sticks, red currant, red cherry and teaberry. This leads to bright flavors of red fruits, pomegranate seed and suggestions of Shitake mushroom. The lovely mouthfeel and texture, lead to a slightly astringent finish. While this is attractive now it also shows the potential to evolve over the next decade. Only 145 cases made of this lovely wine. [Best 2017-2027]
