Clairette, Terre des Chardons 'J'M'
Light gold color with green highlights, expressive aromas of white fruits and white flowers, perfectly balanced between roundness and low acidity, this Clairette de Bellegarde [a dry white] evolves towards a fine hint of bitterness. Very aromatic, with a rich and uncuous palate, a delicious southern rhone white with zippy acidity, stony minerality and a medium bodied palate full of citrus, white tree fruit and ever so slightly bitter green herbs, all the good stuff and quite unexpected from the Costieres de Nimes region.
The Chardon family makes the effort to keep their finest Clairettes for a few years to reveal to us all the elegance of this grape variety and this very special terroir. She shows herself airy and slender, in elegance, we feel close to the grapes and the terroir cultivated in biodynamics.
This structured white wine, with its harmonious finish between mineral freshness and 'fat' [typical of the Bellegarde terroir], leaves a clean and fresh mouth that can be combined with many culinary specialties
